is a one-hour documentary paying tribute to the lives lost in the 2021 Atlanta spa killings, which targeted women of Asian descent.
Hero4Hire was honored to provide motion graphics and title design for this important film under the leadership of Creative Director Jane Wu, herself a first-generation Asian American.

To create an empathetic portrait of the people at the heart of this tragedy, we animated their stories as a tactile photo scrapbook. We used handwritten text that describes each person and even included their names in their own languages.
For the title and typography designs, Jane and her H4H team worked closely with the film’s creators—all of whom are also Asian-American—to deliver a bold design that captures the film’s attitude.
Historically, the color yellow has been used to label the AAPI community in racist contexts. More recently, however, the AAPI community has reclaimed and transformed yellow as a symbol of defiant pride.
